Calgary New Friends Circle is a casual social group for adults 18+ in Calgary, mainly in their 20s and early 30s, who want to get out of the house, meet new people, and build real friendships.

Calgary New Friends Circle is a friendly, low-pressure space to meet new people through simple social activities.

As a group, we may do:

If you are interested in meeting new people and joining future activities, feel free to join the group and come to any event that interests you.

No awkward networking. No pressure to be super outgoing. Just show up as you are.

🏸 ABOUT THIS EVENT

For this event, we’ll keep it fun, casual, and beginner-friendly.

We’ll:

🚶 Meet at the south side of Peace Bridge
🌿 Walk together to Prince’s Island Park
🔎 Find a good open spot to play badminton
🏸 Play casual badminton
🔄 Rotate players so everyone gets a turn
💬 Talk, laugh, and get to know each other

This is not serious or competitive. Beginners are welcome.

The goal is just to play a little, meet good people, enjoy the evening, and feel more connected.

📍 MEETING POINT

We’ll meet at the south side entrance of the Peace Bridge, on the downtown Calgary side, near the Bow River pathway.

Please don’t go to the Sunnyside/Kensington side. We are meeting on the downtown side first.

From there, we’ll walk together to Prince’s Island Park and find a spot to play badminton.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

🏸 Please bring your own badminton racket
🏸 Please bring your own shuttlecocks
👟 Comfortable shoes
💧 Water
🧥 Dress for the weather
😊 Good energy and an open mind

Note. I will bring one extra badminton racket, but there may not be enough extra rackets for everyone.

If you do not have a racket or shuttlecocks, please post in the discussion before the event.
