Calgary New Friends Circle is a casual social group for young adults ages 18–34 in Calgary who want to get out, meet new people, and build real friendships.

This is not an all-ages adult group. The age range helps keep the group comfortable and easier for people to connect. Thanks for understanding.

🚲 ABOUT THIS EVENT

For this event, we’re doing a casual cycling social.

This is not a race or workout. We’ll keep it slow, relaxed, and beginner-friendly.

Plan:
πŸ“ Start: South side of Peace Bridge, downtown Calgary side
🌊 Ride: Bow River pathway
πŸŒ† Go until: East Village area
πŸ’¬ Stop: Short break to talk and relax
πŸ” Return: Ride back toward Peace Bridge
🏁 End: Near Peace Bridge / Bow River pathway

The goal is simple: ride a little, talk, meet good people, and enjoy Calgary.

🚲 BIKE REQUIREMENT

Please make sure you have access to a bike or e-bike before the event.

You can:

🚲 SAFETY NOTE

We’ll ride slow and stay together.

Please:
🚲 Keep about 1–2 bike lengths between riders
🚢 Slow down near pedestrians
πŸ”” Use your bell when passing
🚫 No racing or risky riding
βœ‹ No sudden stops unless needed
πŸ‘€ Stay aware of people walking, kids, dogs, and other cyclists
πŸ›‘ Follow pathway signs and rules
πŸͺ– Helmets are recommended, but not mandatory for regular adult cyclists

If you are riding an e-bike or power-assist bike, please check the current helmet rules and wear one if required.

If you are not comfortable riding in a small group, this may not be the best event to start with.

βœ… This helps someone else join if the event is full
βœ… Repeated no-shows may get lower priority for future limited-space events
