Serverless Apps with Firebase & Node.js

Details
Hi Folks,
We have another great topic for you in our December meetup. Our presenter this time will be Rick Salmon who will show us how to build a Serverless App with Firebase and Node.js.
We will leverage the Firebase platform to quickly deploy a serverless backend for our real-time frontend app. We will start from an empty Firebase project and progressively add all the pieces we need such as:
- spinning up a Firestore document database
- enabling out-of-the-box authentication services
- deploying our Javascript app (built in Svelte) to the Firebase Hosting service
- writing & deploying serverless functions in NodeJS
- and finally taking the app for a test drive all together in real-time
If you're planning to do the interactive coding session don't forget to bring your laptop and make sure you have installed the current LTS version of Node.js.
