Every first Sunday of the month, Ronald Green hosts a discussion attended by people from many countries. We discuss a range of philosophical issues that may include history, science, art, psychology, sociology, and more. The mix of international attendees and ideas from various countries makes for lively (and sometimes controversial) discussions.
The meetings are for the curious open to new ideas and willing to share. And also for those who just want to listen.
This time we will discuss something so much part of our lives, that we usually accept it without thinking about it too much: Trust.
Trust is strange. It is the pillar on which society rests, yet is based on uncertainty. If there’s total certainty, no trust is needed.
What, then is Trust?
Is it a phenomenon? Is it relative or absolute? In which way does it exist, in fact? Yet, as soon as do think about it, we wonder...
Philosophy, science, sociology, the arts... These are some of the things we will discuss about a "thing" that that may be a mirage.
Very much looking forward to having you joining us.
