Memento Mori Meditation

Join us for some contemplative reflection at Calgary’s historic Pioneers Cemetery, using the ancient Stoic practice of memento mori — remembering that life is finite.
Surrounded by the graves of some of Calgary’s early residents, we’ll take time to reflect on mortality, the passage of time, and what it means to make meaningful use of the life we have.
This is not a religious service or a sombre ceremony. It is an opportunity to pause, appreciate the present moment, and cultivate gratitude. To call into question one’s ego, and the value or importance of legacy.
All are welcome, whether you are familiar with Stoicism or simply curious about exploring these ideas.
