Monthly Meeting for May

CPS Members,

May is going to be a big month for Cps. I hope you're ready.

First is our monthly meeting on Wednesday May 1st. Our speaker for the month is Wendi Forester. Wendi is a very accomplished photographer who will share her passion for photography with us.

If you have something to share for the Show and Tell, or if you prefer, a How did they do that, please let me know. Each month we have someone volunteer to give a 5-10 minute talk on how they created an image or maybe you have a piece of equipment you would like to show. If you would like to share something with the group, please let me know and we can schedule you in for the meeting.

The photography theme for the month of April is "SPORTS ACTION" . Your photography can only get better if you go out and practice. This is a good way to learn and share with your photography. Bring in your best shot for the theme and one image in the open category as well. 8X10 prints or larger are best for visual impact. We will give a constructive critique of your images to help you grow as a photographer.

Secondly, the date is set for our Photographic Buy/Sell/Trade Event, May 25th, and the organizing and planning have been moving forward. Most of the prep work has been taken care of, but we will need some help the day of the event. Helping set up tables, greeting buyers and sellers. Making sure the presentations run smoothly. It's not a big commitment, but your help would be much appreciated.

Just a reminder about our June meeting. It will be our outdoor model shoot. Please plan on attending and if you know any models that would like to attend, please ask them to save the date, which is June 5th. More details to follow as location and time will need to be finalized.

If you haven't paid your dues for the year, we will be collecting those at the meeting. The yearly dues for the year is $30. Additional fees may be required for special events and model shoots.
