About us
# Calgary Podcast Club
Hosted by Beyond the Buzz
Think book club, but for podcasts!
Love interesting podcasts and good conversation? Join us for a monthly gathering over wine, where curious Calgarians come together to explore interesting ideas, share experiences, and discover new perspectives.
How it works
Each month, we'll feature four 10-minute episodes from Beyond the Buzz, an independent podcast exploring the trends, claims, and promises shaping our lives—from health and lifestyle to work, technology, and culture.
Starting in December, we'll also spotlight a different Calgary-area podcast each month, featuring an episode selected by its host, who will be invited to join us.
Just pick at least one of the featured episodes that sparks your curiosity, give it a listen, and come share your thoughts. That's all the preparation you need!
What surprised you? What resonated? Do you have a different perspective, personal experience, or something interesting you've read or heard to share?
There's no formal agenda, no lectures, and no expectation that everyone agrees. The conversation goes wherever the group's interests take us.
For podcast lovers and creators
We'll also make time each month to share podcast recommendations, discuss podcasting as a medium, and connect with Calgary's independent podcast creators.
Whether you're an enthusiastic listener, occasional podcast fan, or independent podcaster, you're welcome.
Suggest a Calgary-area podcast!
Know a great independent podcast from Calgary or the surrounding area? We'd love to hear about it! Listeners and podcast creators are both welcome to nominate a show—including their own.
Featured podcasts will be selected based on their potential to spark interesting conversations and the host's availability to join us. Not every suggestion can be featured, but all are welcome!
Feel free to send your suggestions through Meetup.
