CPPUG Power Platform Hackathon at Microsoft Calgary

Hello Visionaries and Innovators!

It's time to build! Join us for a full day of hands-on creation at the Power Platform Hackathon by Microsoft Calgary and the Calgary Power Platform User Group. Whether you're brand new to Power Platform or already building apps and flows at work, this event gives you a structured, friendly space to learn, team up, build, demo, and meet other makers.
Bring your laptop, your charger, and your curiosity. We'll bring the prompts, mentors, lunch, and just the right amount of community chaos.

No matter where you're starting from, there's a spot for you:

• No team? We'll match you with other builders.
• No idea? Choose from our prepared challenge prompts.
• New to Power Platform? Mentors will be on hand throughout the day.
• Experienced maker? Join or lead a more advanced build.
• Not ready to compete? Come as a spectator for demos, networking, judging, and the closing ceremony.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
• Time: 9am-4pm
• Location: Microsoft Calgary Office, 110 9 Ave SW, Calgary, AB
• Format: In-person build day, with teams, free agents, mentors, demos, judging, and spectators welcome for the showcase portion
• What to bring: Laptop, charger, and a willingness to build or learn. If your organization permits it, feel free to bring your own tenant or environment.
• Focus tools: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, SharePoint, and related Power Platform components

Schedule for the Day

• 9:00 AM: Doors open, registration
• 9:30 AM - 9:55 AM: Welcome, rules, and challenge briefing
• 10:00 AM: Hackathon coding block begins
• 12:30 PM: Lunch Break (food provided for participants) 🥪
• 1:45 PM - 2:00 PM: Final submissions and demo setup
• 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM: Team demos
• 3:15 PM - 3:40 PM: Judging and networking
• 3:40 PM - 4:00 PM: Awards, photos, and closing
