Legacy on Day One: DDD for the Software Factory - Gagan Vats
Details
Abstract
Legacy code used to take years. With coding agents it can happen the day the code merges: nobody ever held the theory of why it's built the way it is, and every new session guesses again. Peter Naur warned back in 1985 that a program dies with the team that understands it. This talk is about putting that understanding back into the code, as bounded contexts, ubiquitous language and invariants that a machine checks on every commit, and why that kind of rigor, even a Lean proof, is now cheap enough to do by default.
