Tarot - Hero’s Journey

Details
We are looking at the Tarot cards as a representation of the Heroes Journey - every persons quest from the physical to the spiritual, to a place of more love, peace and happiness.
This Week, we will look at the Nines and Tens. We will also look at Astrology and see if it is related to the Tarot cards.
Last Week, we will looked at the 7s and 8s as well as two specific Card Clusters 1) The Dark Cards: Death, Devil, Tower, Three of Swords and Ten of Swords. It was noted that the Three of Swords and Ten of Swords are very much related as the deeps thrusting sword in the Ten of Swords is the sword through the heart. The story of the Swords is also the story of Shakespeares King Lear who died of a broken heart at the end of the play. It was also noted that the hand gesture of the Ten of Swords (I can bring heaven to earth) is the same hand gesture of the Hierophant and the exact opposite gesture of the Devil.
- Yellow Cards: Fool, Magician, Empress, Chariot, Strength, Ten of Cups, Six of Cups, Four of Wands, Three of Wands, Nine of Pentacles, Pentacle Court Cards cards and Seven of Swords. It was a puzzle why the Seven of Swords had a yellow background as this was not obviously a happy card. However, given that the Seven of Swords represents passive aggressiveness ("Smile and smile and be a villain" or "Honest Iago"), the yellowness is really a fake yellowness.
Finally, we did a reading on Kevin Costner and determined he needed to do some inner work.
Note: we will be using the Ryder Waite deck.
