About us
This group is for anyone who is interested in challenging themselves to play their very best while being patient enough with others who might not be at their level. We will play all sorts of sports: tennis, wallyball, volleyball, beach volleyball, ultimate, soccer and whatever else anyone wants to try.
Participating in an active life is not without its own risks. In addition to offering active and challenging sportsing opportunities, we also offer advice on how to protect yourself with disability insurance. Free online information sessions will be offered on a quarterly basis based upon interest. For more information, please contact Mark MacGillivray via Meetup Message.
As of April 2020, The Calgary Sportsing Meetup has become an official group of Wallyball Canada. This enables us to promote wallyball to the wider world and have access to Wallyball Canada resources:

Ping pong, cards, board games, foosball, crokinole, chess, conversation, potluck
James’s house, Tuscany. Address to be posted day before the event, 65 Tuscany meadows place ,, Calgary, AB, CA- House party with lots of fun activities going on. Everyone is welcome and everyone is very welcoming.
- Card and board games. Lots are provided - Also bring your favorite game.
- foosball
- Ping Pong, some time set aside for beginners, some for intermediate, some for experienced.
- crokinole is a dexterity board game, possibly of Canadian origin. Players take turns shooting discs across the circular playing surface, trying to land their discs in the higher-scoring regions of the board, while also attempting to knock opposing discs off the board.
- Music...
- I have a piano - sometimes people play the piano and a few of us sing
- Sometimes someone brings a guitar and plays and sings.
- Come and make friends, hang out and feel free to bring your special talent and show off a bit :)

This is a potluck - please bring a *favourite* snack/dish to share with others - no need to bring chips or sweets, we haven't eaten all the bags of chips and sweets people have brought so far, so please bring an entree or appetizer. Suggestions could be - hot entree, fruit plate, vegetable plate, cheese plate, appetizers, sushi, finger food (I have a microwave and oven and stove), pizza or, even better, BRING SOMETHING YOU ARE FAMOUS FOR MAKING! I supply beverages (soft drinks, fruit drinks, iced tea).
This event is posted on a few meetups So there are more people than listed here. It doesn’t matter which one you sign up on.
Sometimes the meetup site has had problems with allowing people to sign up - If you have any problems please leave a comment here so I can address it, or send me a private message.
Transportation:
Some people need a ride, some have expressed willingness to provide a ride. Please leave a comment if you want to add your name to either of those two lists and in which neighborhood you live.
