This group is for anyone who is interested in challenging themselves to play their very best while being patient enough with others who might not be at their level. We will play all sorts of sports: tennis, wallyball, volleyball, beach volleyball, ultimate, soccer and whatever else anyone wants to try.
Participating in an active life is not without its own risks.Ā In addition to offering active and challenging sportsing opportunities, we also offer advice on how to protect yourself with disability insurance. As of April 2020, The Calgary Sportsing Meetup has become an official group of Wallyball Canada.Ā This enables us to promote wallyball to the wider world and have access to Wallyball Canada resources:

- Ping Pong, some time set aside for beginners, some for intermediate, some for experienced.
- crokinole is a dexterity board game, possibly of Canadian origin. Players take turns shooting discs across the circular playing surface, trying to land their discs in the higher-scoring regions of the board, while also attempting to knock opposing discs off the board.

James lives out in Tuscany, about a 20 minute drive from Trail Courts. The address is 65 Tuscany Meadows Place NW, Calgary.
Let's try something new - please bring a *favourite* snack/dish to share with others - no need to bring chips, we haven't eaten all the bags of chips people have brought so far, so please bring something else. Suggestions could be - fruit plate, vegetable plate, cheese plate, appetizers, finger food (I have a microwave and oven and stove), or bring something you are famous for making!
This event is posted on a few meetups So there are more people than listed here. It doesnāt matter which one you sign up on.
Sometimes the meetup site has had problems with allowing people to sign up - If you have any problems please leave a comment here so I can address it, or send me a private message.
Transportation:
Some people need a ride, some have expressed willingness to provide a ride. Please leave a comment if you want to add your name to either of those two lists and in which neighborhood you live. We often have people coming from every quadrant of the city so post a message in the group chat here or communicate amongst yourselves when you are here.WAIVER: By signing up (RSVP) for this event, you signify that you are aware of all the risks associated with this event and are aware of your physical and emotional limits and how they relate to this particular event. There is arguably no better way to enjoy the summer sun than to get together with a bunch of fun people and play beach volleyball. The combination of sun, tunes, fun and friends is truly intoxicating! The cost for this event is $3.00 and can be paid via e-Transfer to:
wallyballcanada@gmail.com. Bring something to drink, sunglasses, tan lotion, tunes and insect repellent.
In the case of not being able to get a court, I will send a message via meetup.
If there is enough interest in a second court, I will see if I can get one.
