What the heck is a UX Designer, anyways?
When someone says they’re a UX designer, it’s not immediately clear what it is they do on a day to day basis. Traditionally, UX Designers have been Information Architects (IA) or Interaction Designers. Today, though, it’s not uncommon for IA, Interaction Design and Visual Design to be combined into a single role under the title of UX Designer. This is a trend in our industry that’s often referred to as "the rise of the generalist." Our panel will discuss what it is a UX Designer actually does as well as dig into the pros and cons of being a UX generalist vs a UX specialist.
