Come join the California Haunts Paranormal Investigation Team as we celebrate the Sturgeon Moon on August 1 at 7:45 p.m. PST.

This guided meditation is open to those experienced in meditation and for those who are just beginning or have never done this before.

You will be guided through the various techniques which include breathing, mindfulness, focus, mantra, quick body scan and muscle relaxation meditations.

The Sturgeon Moon got its name in the great lakes area in August because it seemed as if catching sturgeons was easier when the moon was full. Other names for this moon include the Full Red Moon and the Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon because this moon meant it was time to begin harvesting crops in preparation for fall.

For mortals, the full moon means the opportunity of meditation to help with completing any project you might be undertaking. Maybe there's a set of goals that you'd like to reach. This moon is a great time to look in on yourself and set intentions for new projects. It can also be an opportunity to release any anxieties that you might be experiencing as you look toward upcoming months.

During a full moon our emotions are heightened and for some, dreams become intensified. The moonlight helps us see our life situations clearly including things we have outgrown, have ignored or keep repressed.

Through meditation we can release energies which may be holding us back and create a more positive outlook for ourselves.

There are 10 spots open for this event so book early.
