Serpentine Chaparral & Grasslands at Edgewood Park Hike #1 (San Mateo County)

Details
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
WE HAVE MOVED THIS FIELD TRIP TO TUESDAY MARCH 22 (FROM MARCH 8) DUE TO MULTIPLE TRAIL CLOSURES IN THE PARK. SAME PLACE SAME TIME.
Join Paul Heiple and Ken Himes on a spring walk along the Clarkia Trail in Edgewood County Park and Preserve. Plants of the serpentine chaparral and serpentine grasslands will be featured. In addition, Paul will comment about the improvements to the grasslands along the western Clarkia Trail as habitat restoration efforts continue to reduce the yellow star-thistle population. For example, plants such as as narrow-leaf milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis) have increased dramatically.
Space is limited. No drop-ins. RSVP is required. We have arranged for 2 hikes (March and April). Please register for only one hike to allow others to attend. You must register here.
