For everyone's security, this is a controlled-access meeting. The link you obtain by RSVP'ing here on Meetup is your entry to the registration process. To join this event (and it's really easier than this long list makes it seem):

1. Click Attend
2. Click on the link that appears under "Online Event" here on Meetup. (Please do not need to wait until the day of the meeting to register.)
3. Complete the registration form, including agreeing to the terms of service. You will need a Zoom ID to connect.
4. Have a little patience, as registrations are processed manually, beginning a few days before the event.
5. Watch for an email containing your link to the meeting. Your email server may send it to your "spam" or "promotions" folder.
6. Use your link to access the meeting!

Join us for an informal, friendly evening of readings from a variety of authors: poetry, essays, short fiction, excerpts of novels both published and in progress.

If you’d like to enjoy the evening as an audience member, you are more than welcome to join us! You can engage with the authors in chat, learn about the California Writers Club, and lend your support to our readers. (Be prepared to think, "I can do this! Next time, I'm reading, too!")

We will sign up readers on a first-come/first-serve basis. Please arrive on time if you’d like to read. If you're reading, please come prepared to read for 5-8 minutes. We'll flex the available time, depending on the number of participants. We manage time carefully to be sure that everyone who wants to read gets their chance, so keep that in mind as you select your material.

Remember, preregistration is required and enforced.
