What we’re about
## Crocheting for Women over Forty began as a way to connect former members of the online Revel platform. We started with crochet, but all crafters who identify as female and are 50 or older are welcome. We hope to eventually merge with the other meetup group(s) currently being organized by a former Revel staffer.
We are a community for everyone who identifies as a woman and is in their 50s, 60s, 70s, or above, who want to craft online or in person, with a group of like-minded women in a safe space. We aren't perfect but we hope we can all agree to strive for open-mindedness and open-heartedness, to carry respect and thoughtful consideration in communicating with each other, and to endeavor to making each other feel welcome.
Remember that the Meetups offered here are the thoughts, feelings, opinions, life experiences, etc. strictly of the person who organized that particular meetup event. Take what you like and leave the rest.
Like Revel, we agree that safety and security online is one of the top concerns. And like Revel we all want to be a part of a trusted, secure community. We try our best to verify member identities to ensure that each and every one of our members is who she says she is.
