As autumn settles in, this practice is an invitation to ground yourself, create space, and rise with a little more ease.

Join us for a gentle, beginner-friendly outdoor yoga practice focused on grounding, strength and balance.

What we’ll explore:

  • Gentle mobility and full-body warm-up
  • Simple balance practice
  • Opening through the hips, shoulders and chests
  • A relaxing Savasana

No need to be flexible or experienced. Beginners and anyone returning to yoga after a break are very welcome.

🌿 Schedule

10:00–11:00 | Yoga Practice — Root & Rise

Grounding, strength, opening and balance.

11:00–11:30 | Baduanjin Follow-Along 八段锦

After yoga, you’re welcome to stay for 30 minutes of Baduanjin (Eight Brocades), a traditional Chinese mind-body practice using gentle, flowing movements with breath and awareness.

No previous Baduanjin experience is needed — simply follow along and move at your own pace.

A little about your host

Hi, I’m Monica! I’m originally from China and have been living abroad for more than 10 years. I’m a 200-hour YTTC certified yoga instructor and speak Chinese, English and French.

Yoga is one of the ways I slow down and reconnect with myself, but I also believe feeling well is about the people around us and the conversations we have.

That’s why I started Calm Across Borders — to create a relaxed space where people from different backgrounds can move, breathe, talk, and hopefully make a few genuine connections along the way.
