What we’re doing:
Playing sjoelen β€” a classic Dutch shuffleboard game. No experience needed, boards are free, and the format means you always have something to do with your hands while conversation happens naturally.

πŸŽ₯ Never played before?
No worries β€” this 2-minute video explains everything. It's easier than it looks.

What to expect:
πŸ‘₯ Small Group: 3-5 people
πŸ”‡ Noise level: Medium β€” it's a bar, but Sunday afternoons tend to be relaxed and quiet
πŸ“ Finding us: Look for the sjoelen boards, we'll be easy to spot
⏱️ Arrival window: 14:00–14:10 β€” then we start playing!
🚢 Leaving early: Always fine, no explanation needed
🎟️ Cost: Free to join β€” just buy your own drinks

✨ The Vibe:
The repetitive sliding motion, the satisfying clack of the pucks, and the clear scoring system make sjoelen genuinely regulating for neurodivergent brains β€” tactile, rhythmic, and low-stakes.

πŸ’‘ Fun fact:
There's an actual Dutch national sjoelen championship. The top players can score close to the theoretical maximum of 148 points per round β€” a feat that requires almost mechanical precision.
