This is our third meeting this year. We will be meeting every first Monday of the month
Agenda
1. Introductions by anyone attending for the first time
2. Discussion of books we have recently read because we did not decide a book to read in advance in our last meeting. But we did discuss (each briefly):

  • Dark Winter: An insider's guide to pandemics and biosecurity, 2022

  • Technology and the Rise of Great Powers: How Diffusion Shapes Economic Competition: 2024 by Jeffrey Ding
  • Globish: How the English Language became the World's Language, 2011 by Robert McCrum
  • The Case Against Reality: How Evolution Hid the Truth from Our Eyes, 2019 by Donald D. Hoffman

3. Discuss and add any other participants' suggested books to our lists of "possibles"
4. Discuss and agree on a book to be discussed at the next (April) meeting
