Printmaking Course - Lino, Mono, botanical, relief and Intaglio (6 weeks)

This 6 week course is designed to delve deeper into the world of Printmaking...
Although, this course builds on the printmaking skills you may already have it is also perfect for beginners, who will be given step by step tuition in each printmaking discipline. You will learn:

• Different forms of monoprinting including the introduction of using colours.
• Creating stamp plates for fabric design.
• Multi-block lino printing or the jigsaw method - this is an alternative to reduction printing.
• Printing on different mediums such as collage, fabric and hand-made papers.
• Botanical monoprinting and contact printing.

Each week you will have the opportunity to learn a new Printmaking technique (monoprinting, intaglio, relief, contact and lino printing).

You will be encouraged to create artwork inspired by your own interests and photos, allowing you to explore your creativity and develop your skills.

By the end of the course, you will have produced some wonderful prints to take home, and in the case of the lino and stamp sessions, you will have printing blocks that you can keep and re-print from at home.
