Cambridge Genomics Virtual Meetup [Genomic Medicine] 20th May 2020 19:00 PM BST

Dear Fellow Genomicists,

it is our pleasure to announce our Cambridge Genomics Virtual Meetup for the month of May on Wednesday 20th 19.00-21.00pm BST; 11.00-13.00pm PDT. The theme of this event will be on Genomic Medicine.

This month we have gathered an outstanding set of speakers, joining us from Genomics England Augusto Rendon, Head of Bioinformatics; a representative of Congenica (Wellcome Genome Campus); and to close the evening, Francisco de la Vega, joining us from San Francisco (CA) as CSO of Fabric Genomics.

After the three talks we will have a 25’ social evening, from 20.35 until 21.00pm. This will be an informal networking opportunity for people to get a little bit, only if virtually, of the social we are used to have face-to-face, perhaps even get ourselves a drink and share it with other people at the same time.

We will use Zoom* (you will get the link when you register).

This will be an excellent opportunity to learn from across academia, industry and the tech sector in the #MedicalGenomics area.

*Please note we will be recording, so if you are not able to ‘dial-in’ we will forward the YouTube links of the speakers who agreed to be recorded soon afterwards. As a participant, by joining you agree your interventions to be recorded.

**We take very seriously gender balance in our events. Sometimes unfortunately we are unable to achieve it. We welcome suggestions for female speakers for future events any time.
