Advanced Machine Embroidery (Training Series)

Do you know basic machine embroidery but want to unlock the full potential of this tool? Join us at the Cambridge Hackspace this Sunday at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM to learn advanced embroidery techniques on a Brother SE 700 CNC embroidery machine!

WHAT TO EXPECT: Attendees should have completed Intro Machine Embroidery training OR have preexisting knowledge of the basics of operating an embroidery machine. Advanced Embroidery covers special techniques and practices for more complex embroidery projects. Taught skills include (1) working with multiple colors/layers, (2) embroidery as appliqué, and (3) incorporating 3D and embellishment features. Attendees are not expected to remember everything, but rather become familiar with the techniques so they can explore deeper in the future.

Our door can be hard to find! There are directions on our website linked here. We are located next to Market Basket in the same building as Little India (behind Milk Row cemetery). The door is located near the South West corner on the South wall of the building, and is painted white with 438R/440R written in blue on it. The building may be labeled 438 Somerville ave, 440R, and 438R depending upon where you look. Please press the Cambridge Hackspace doorbell, which is on the left side of the door frame and a bit above the door knob. The doorbell glows so it is easier to find at night.
