Details

Summary: We start in the village of Stretham, where we will join the Gruny Fen Catchwater path heading West. Once we connect to Wilburton, we’ll follow the woods south to the village of Aldreth, where we will have lunch. Continuing down the Catchwater Drain, we’ll head towards the busway, before arriving at the Northstowe Tap and Social where the walk ends.
Logistics: Meet at Drummer Street Bus Stop at 9:00, where we will take the 9:15 bus to Stretham, arriving at 9:52. Once the walk finishes, buses from Northstowe to Cambridge run regularly, taking about 20 minutes to get into town.
Bring: Packed lunch, snacks, water (1.5 to 2 litres), walking kit, hiking boots, waterproof jacket and warm layers.

Join the club:
After the walk, the walk organisers will share the details of the club bank account and new members can join the community by setting up a recurring £1 monthly fee. This helps cover admin costs and fund trips for the club. On receipt of payment, newcomers will be added to the club WhatsApp group by the club organiser.

Note: The sign up on Meetup is for non-members who are not part of what WhatsApp group yet. Any current members will sign up through the WhatsApp group.
*Reminder* If you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP.
Terrain:
Should be very flat with very few hills, small chance of mud and some overgrown patches, so full length trousers are recommended.
Please inform the walk leader (Jakob) if you are leaving before the walk is finished.
We respect nature and people and follow the countryside code: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-countryside-code/the-countryside-code-advice-for-countryside-visitors
