What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to create a space where people from Cambridge (and surrounding areas) can come and hang out with each other in an open and inclusive environment. Make new friends and feel less lonely in the suburban isolation that we experience living in this city. And hopefully dance! Music transcends culture and humans are united on the dance floor.
Anybody is welcome to join Cambridge Party :) There are lots of awesome people in this city, and we're all sitting on our sofas mindlessly scrolling on our phones, watching shows or playing video games, often wishing there was something to do in-town with real-life humans that didn't require huge planning, or be purely centred around drinking.
Admit it, you're reading this from your sofa (or toilet) right now! You wish there was something fun to do tonight that was easy, social, low cost, and local. You can come to Cambridge Party :)
We will have games/ice breakers, gaming tournaments, prizes, DJs and rave parties (or at least a small dance party lol). Wallflowers are also welcome to come and just chill, if they don't want to talk/interact but just like being around people, that's cool too :) We're hoping this is something people will feel comfortable coming to solo, and also a social activity that doesn't necessarily need to be centred around drinking (for those looking to cut back).
Stay tuned as events may be held in different venues, and we will arrange some games that may require people to sign up for ahead of time.
