ADC Theatre visit - Dial M for Murder
Details
Here's a great opportunity to experience Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 classic film Dial M for Murder as a live theatrical event. Why not join Sue and Ros for this ADC Theatre amateur production of Frederick Knott's original play.
Marrying for money rarely goes to plan. It certainly hasn’t for faded tennis star Tony Wendice, as he believes his wife will ultimately divorce him for her on-off lover, a charming crime writer. Losing his wife would be financially catastrophic for Tony, so he orchestrates a devious plot to have her killed. Will the wits of a shrewd inspector and a prolific crime writer manage to unveil Tony’s malicious scheme before it’s too late?
Adapted for the screen by Knott himself, the play was first performed in 1952 on BBC Television, then to great acclaim on the London and Broadway stage.
