Murder Mystery Book Club - Murder at the Fitzwilliam by Jim Eldridge
Details
The first in Jim Eldridge's series of murder mysteries set in museums across Britain, Murder at the Fitzwilliam should make an intriguing subject for this month's discussion.
When a body is found in the Egyptian Collection of the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, retired Detective Inspector Daniel Wilson is called in to solve the case quickly and with the utmost discretion.
As Wilson tries to uncover the identity of the dead man and the circumstances surrounding his demise, he finds he must contend not only with an unhelpful police Inspector, but more alarmingly with the archaeologist who discovered the body and who seems determined to protect the Egyptian collection at all costs. Can these unlikely combatants find a way to work together to solve the mystery?
We will meet in the Castle Inn on Castle Hill at 7pm in the hour before IVC Pub night - feel free to stay on for drinks afterwards! The Castle is a quaint traditional pub offering a full range of drinks, including real ales and pub food.
Please bring along £1 (or £12 for the year) as a contribution to Meetup fees - this £1 is only payable by non-fully-paid members of IVC (and can be reclaimed if you decide to join the CambsIVC membership group).
Parking is free in the Shire Hall car park from 7pm.
