Murder Mystery Book Club - Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

Join Ros for a lively discussion of Rebecca, a haunting tale of mystery and intrigue by mistress of suspense Daphne du Maurier.

Last night, I dreamt I went to Manderley again... As fresh and readable as when it first appeared, Rebecca features perhaps the most famous first line ever written, as it follows its young protagonist from her time as a companion in the south of France to marriage to the dashing Maxim de Winter. As the couple begin life at his sprawling mansion on the windswept Cornish coast, the young bride finds herself haunted by the shadow of Maxim's beautiful - and dead - first wife.

We will meet in the Castle Inn on Castle Hill at 7pm in the hour before IVC Pub night - feel free to stay on for drinks afterwards! The Castle is a quaint traditional pub offering a full range of drinks, including real ales and pub food.

Please bring along £1 (or £12 for the year) as a contribution to Meetup fees - this £1 is only payable by non-fully-paid members of IVC (and can be reclaimed if you decide to join the CambsIVC membership group).
Parking is free in the Shire Hall car park from 7pm.
