Outdoor Theatre: Macbeth - The Challis Garden, Sawston
Details
Join Sue for a hilariously high-octane Handlebards production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth as you’ve never seen it before. Forget the tears and tragedy, their Macbeth is chock full of mishaps, mayhem and mirth.
The HandleBards are a group of cycling Shakespearean actors who carry all of their sets, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, occasionally with the help of an electric van. They perform extremely energetic, charmingly chaotic and environmentally sustainable Shakespeare plays across the UK. On Thursday 23 July they will be performing in the Challis Garden, a community garden owned and maintained by the residents of Sawston. This is an outdoor production, so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to dig into, and dress for the weather!
Getting there: the number 7 bus travels to Sawston from Cambridge bus station and the railway station, then along Hills Road, and runs through to 11pm. There is also parking behind the Co-op in the High Street opposite the Garden.
Tickets: Early Bird £17.50; Standard £20.50; 21 & under: £13.00/£5
