What we’re about
Networking sucks. At least, the way it’s usually done. Forced small talk, awkward sales pitches, people pretending to be more polished than they really are. No thanks.
That’s why Cambridge Connector exists—to flip the script and make networking actually enjoyable. No suits, no business card spiels, no pressure to impress. Just real people, real conversations, and a laid-back vibe where you can show up as yourself and connect with others who actually get it.
Founded by local entrepreneur Lucy Colson, Cambridge Connector was born out of frustration with the usual stiff, transactional networking events that only happened once a month. She wanted a space where people could talk openly—about their ideas, struggles, wins, or even just the ridiculousness of the week—without feeling like they had to perform and actually build connections rather than a series of one-off conversations. So she built one.
Now, it’s the go-to space in Cambridge for entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, and investors who want to meet without the usual networking nonsense. No corporate masks, no forced icebreakers—just an easy-going atmosphere where conversations flow naturally, and connections actually mean something.
So, if you’re over the whole “networking” thing but still want to meet the kind of people who make things happen, this is your scene. No bullshit, no pressure—just good vibes and great conversations.
