Deer watching and woodland walk
Details
All Welcome, all levels of experience. Stay a few hours or stay the whole day.
*Limited to 16 attendees.
Location 1
Burghley House Stamford, Lincolnshire PE9 3JY
Burghley House has probably one of the best Fallow deer parks in the country. This makes it one of the easiest environments to watch the deer in their breeding season called the rut. The rut only lasts a few weeks so don't miss out!
Bring your binoculars and cameras.

Location 2
Bedford Purlieus, Wansford, Peterborough.
Moving on from Burleigh House we go onto the woodland walk.
Bedford Purlieus has a good number of Fallow deer providing a good chance of sightings. Track the deer through the woods and lookout for other signs like Badger and Fox.
The woodland is really diverse and a great chance to practice your identification skills. There are wild edibles, fungi and much more. Bring your I.D. books!
The woodland is a protected site so we can only I.D. and not pick, collect or eat.
Adults welcome. Please contact first if intending to bring children. You are responsible for your children.
