Connecting with Camels: Hands on Camels Camp

It's time Adventurers! Just 40 minutes from downtown San Diego is the springtime weekend adventure that is HUMPS DOWN, one of the coolest, funnest, bestest animal experiences you will ever have.

Oasis Camel Dairy's Gil and Nancy Riegler (from Mike Rowe's, Dirty Jobs, Huell Houser's, California Gold, and Andrew Zimmern's, Bizarre Foods) along with their captivating camels invite you to join them May 1 through 3 for Hands on Camels.
From mixing and mingling with like minded adventures while you munch on camel milk chocolate s'mores to wandering out in the pastures where camels move freely around you asking for petting and scritches, to getting into it with handling training and grooming; this is a weekend of animal connection that brings you close to one of the most benevolent intelligent animals on this amazing planet.

Our Saturday night Mediterranean feast features vegan and vegetarian options as well as a variety of meat.

Tent, car and rv camping on site is available while some folks choose a local Airbnb or commute from home.
