About us
Welcome to CCR Meetup!
We are happy you have joined our MeetUp Group to enjoy the many activities and educational opportunities we offer. CCR Meetup is sponsored by the Camera Club of Richmond (Virginia).
The Camera Club of Richmond was founded in 1932 to promote the art of photography in central Virginia. Our vision is to promote excellence in photography; inspiring our members to reveal the world around us, preserve memories and create works of art. The Camera Club of Richmond’s mission is to empower our members to learn and grow their photographic craft through education, activities, exhibits, critiques, mentoring, and competitions.
Our membership has a wide range of experience and skill levels in film, digital, mirrorless, and cell phone cameras. In addition, members have the opportunity to display their work in various galleries throughout the Richmond area, have their work evaluated several times a year at our scheduled Evaluation Meetings, and participate in an End of Year Competition and Awards Presentation.
CCR welcomes photographers of all experience levels to share their passion for photography. Please be our guest at one of our monthly meetings:

A Few Words From Our Evaluator…
From the very first portrait I created, I knew that nothing would fulfill me more than photographing people. It’s more than a profession - it’s my purpose.
For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of capturing life’s most meaningful moments for extraordinary families and individuals. From generational portraits to milestone celebrations, each session is a collaboration built on trust, intention, and artistry.
I am deeply honored to be invited into people’s lives to preserve their stories through timeless portraiture.
Every image I create is guided by that sense of responsibility - and a sincere belief that your memories deserve to be captured with integrity, care, and enduring beauty.
