What we’re about
Welcome to CCR Meetup!
We are happy you have joined our MeetUp Group to enjoy the many activities and educational opportunities we offer. CCR Meetup is sponsored by the Camera Club of Richmond (Virginia).
The Camera Club of Richmond was founded in 1932 to promote the art of photography in central Virginia. Our vision is to promote excellence in photography; inspiring our members to reveal the world around us, preserve memories and create works of art. The Camera Club of Richmond’s mission is to empower our members to learn and grow their photographic craft through education, activities, exhibits, critiques, mentoring, and competitions.
Our membership has a wide range of experience and skill levels in film, digital, mirrorless, and cell phone cameras. In addition, members have the opportunity to display their work in various galleries throughout the Richmond area, have their work evaluated several times a year at our scheduled Evaluation Meetings, and participate in an End of Year Competition and Awards Presentation.
CCR welcomes photographers of all experience levels to share their passion for photography. Please be our guest at one of our monthly meetings:
2nd Tuesday of each month (January – November)
6:00 PM – Doors and Zoom Open (Goodies in the Kitchen!)

About RVA First Fridays...
Downtown Richmond's long-standing monthly art walk happens year-round on the First Friday of every month. Galleries, shops, restaurants, non-profits, and more open their doors in celebration of art and community. First Fridays is a signature event in the city's Arts District.
First Fridays is presented each month by the Downtown Neighborhood Association. DNA is proud to continue RVA's premier Artwalk event, in service to our mission within the neighborhood.
First Fridays is proudly sponsored by Altria, Venture Richmond, and the University of Richmond.
