About Our Presenter:
Anthony Rumley has owned and operated Anthony Rumley Portrait & Fine Art Photography in a retail setting in Richmond for over 30 years. His natural ability to interact with and put his clients at ease has gained him many clients who have been with him his entire career.
Anthony is currently in his second term as President of the Professional Photographers of West Virginia where he has also received numerous photographic awards in the categories of Journalism, Boudoir, Wedding, Commercial, as well as Photographer of the Year and Wedding Photographer of the Year designations.
Anthony has also served at every level in the Virginia Professional Photographers Association including as President and Chairman of the Board. Along the way, he has earned his Fellow of Photography degree and numerous service and photography recognition awards. Anthony is a Master Photographic Craftsman through the Professional Photographers of America and served many years as a PPA councilor representing Virginia.
For many years, Anthony has donated his time and talents to various charitable and photography organizations. He has a passion for teaching others the nuances of photography and enjoys employing wit and humor with the underlying motive to make his lessons and suggestions be more memorable.
When not photographing, lecturing, or planning and attending professional events, you will likely find him outdoors biking with his son, driving to Virginia Tech to visit his daughter, or camping and hiking in the deep mountains of West Virginia in the middle of winter.
Photography has opened doors to people and places around the world I would have never known. I am eternally grateful for the opportunities I have been given and have a deep sense of stewardship for my chosen profession.
You can see more of Anthony’s work on his Facebook page.
