Expression of Interest for a 2-3 weeks trip to NZ South Island

Expression of Interest:
NZ south Island trip in Feb 2025 for 2-3 weeks and looking for 2 people to share rental car & fuel cost.
I (solo) intend to travel around South Island and visit interesting places by road, and by local tours, and only some short walks where possible etc. Itinerary is still in making but open to suggestions for exact date and places to visit.
Overview - land at Christchurch, hire a suitable car for 3, travel south & western side of the Island, some ferry/boat/day tour bus trips on the way.
Cost (atm $AUD 1 = $NZ 0.90 appx)? Below cost are in $NZ
Car rentals/fuel appx $350/day (AWD or 4WD for 3 people)
Hotels/Motels from $100/d/p (Be aware comparatively some places in NZ can be more expensive than Oz)
Min cost for above items appx $1540/p/week or for min 2 weeks $3080/p
Food - should be the same as in OZ
Other trips if anyone wants by boat/ferry/bus tours are extra (from $100-$900).
Overseas Insurance: It is utmost important that everyone must have their own travel and medical insurance before travel.
I am easy going with suggestions & planning, but keep in mind when on ground our plan can change due to weather, road closures and other factors etc. Main aim is to have a good company and enjoy the time there.
