Camping includes electric, tent, and cabin sites. All 99 sites plus cabins are in one area. Silver Falls State Park has been called the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks System. There are waterfalls galore. The Trail of Ten Falls is a designated National Recreation Trail and consists of Canyon Trail and Rim Trail for a 7.2 mile loop with 800 feet elevation variation.
There are four waterfalls you can walk behind. South Falls is the famous one, though Lower South, North, and Middle all have an amphitheater that provides enough room for a trail. There is a 4-mile paved bike path. Swimming is allowed in the South Falls Day-use Area. Trail
Forks shows 28 mountain bike trails: 7 green, 12 blue, and 1 black all accessed right out of our campground. For interested mountain bikers, let’s do at least one MTB day at the State Park with a possible day trip for a loop (maybe 7.3 mile XC 2023 Short Course Loop) at Alsea Falls which is similar to Post Canyon but easier (1hr 43’).

Silver Falls State Park **welcomes visitors and their pets to most areas of the park**. However; for the safety of you and other hikers, pets are not allowed on the Canyon Trail or on the connecting trails of Winter Trail, Maple Ridge Trail and Twin Falls Trail.
