stateparks.reserveamerica.com) 6 months in advance or March 3, 2024.
The campground has 2 small loops with spacious shady sites including 41 full hookup sites with water ($36), 14 electrical sites with water ($34), and 2 yurts. China Creek runs through the campground and there is a dense forest buffer between the campground and Highway 101.
Carl C. Washburne Memorial State Park, a 4 hr drive from Bend, is located next to the Haceta Head Lighthouse 19 miles north of Florence, 16 miles south of Yachats, and 40 miles south of Newport. There are trails north and south of the campground that lead to miles of sandy beach. The extensive Cape Perpetua Scenic Trail system is located 10 miles to the north. According to Trailforks, the newly opened Newport mountain bike trail system has 27 green, 7 blue, and 2 black trails. This is a good option with dinner at Local Ocean Seafood afterward.
