Diesmal erwartet uns ein spannender Vortrag von Lukas und Ronny über die Steuerungsmöglichkeiten einer Smart Factory mit Hilfe von Camunda, wie sie es bereits im Rahmen der Camunda-Con 2021 vorgestellen durften. Als zweiten Punkt gibt es diesmal keinen Vortrag, sondern wir nehmen uns etwas Zeit und diskutieren über Herausforderungen und Probleme aus dem Camundaversum von euch, z.B. wie funktioniert ein prozessübergreifendes E2E-Monitoring?

Wichtig: Falls ihr ein Thema habt, das ihr gerne mit anderen Teilnehmer:innen diskutieren möchtet, bereitet es im Vorfeld ggf. etwas vor, sodass man es in kurzer Zeit möglichst gut versteht. Je nach Teilnehmeranzahl werden wir uns dann ggf. in Kleingruppen aufteilen und über das jeweilige Thema sprechen.

Titel: Controlling a Smart Factory with Processes in Camunda (Vortragssprache deutsch)
Abstract: We have a layered software architecture that enables us to control the production line of a smart factory using processes modeled and executed in Camunda. We’ll describe the architecture’s layers and components, which include web services for controlling the factory and an event stream processor for monitoring the states of machines, sensors, and processes. This session will feature a live demo showing the factory in action.
Bio:

• Lukas Malburg (malburgl@uni-trier.de) is a PhD student at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Information Systems at the University of Trier and since May 2021 a member of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). In his research, he examines the use of Artificial Intelligence methods in Cyber-Physical Production Systems and the Internet of Things combined with Business Process Management techniques.
• Ronny Seiger (ronny.seiger@unisg.ch) is Assistant Professor for Software Engineering Methods and Techniques at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. His research is focused on software engineering and business process technologies in the context of Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems.
