Details

Hi all!

I am happy to announce our program for Tue, April 4th, 2017 - 18:30 @ sektor5.

18:30 - Welcome Reception - Free beverages sponsored by iteratec!

~ 18:45 - "Secure Code Box" - A Camunda Based Vulnerability Scanner

Michael Gissing and Lukas Stanek, both working for iteratec GmbH, will introduce us to SecureCodeBox, a really nice tool implemented by them: SecureCodeBox (SCB) bundles and preconfigures different security scanners to (automatically) check web applications for security vulnerabilities and presents the results in a collective dashboard. The whole process is managed by Camunda.

~ 19:30 "Slack / Google Cloud Messaging" - A Camunda Process Engine plugin

Lukas Stanek, Software Developer at iteratec GmbH, will also show us a Camunda Process Engine Plugin he built for configuring and sending notifications from Camunda to Slack and Google Cloud Messaging devices.

~ 19:45 Break and Networking - Free beverages sponsored by iteratec!

~ 20:00 Microservices and Workflow

I myself, Martin Schimak, will introduce you to some of the work I am collaborating on with Bernd Rücker in the context of our freshly launched site at http://flowing.io :

Microservices architecture is a pattern effectively used by global players such as Netflix, Spotify and Uber, but also european companies like Soundcloud, Otto and Zalando. One can safely say: it is a pattern favored by agile and lean enterprises. What makes Microservices architecture so interesting for these companies and what are their potential dangers for others? Why are Microservices actually a very organisational topic - even though regarded by many to be "technical" stuff? What's the relationship of all that to business process management? What are fundamental characteristics of Microservices design and patterns for their interaction? And what could be the future for workflow in a brave new world of nicely decoupled, event driven Microservices choreographies? Together, we will dig into those questions! :-)

~ 20:45 Final Discussions, End of Program and Networking

I am looking forward to meet you again!
