Back to the future ... with Camunda 8!

And guess what! This will be a in-person only event!
No zoom. No hybrid. Real people. Real chats. Real beer.
Meetup like 2019! 😎

As Camunda 8 has just been released, we will have a closer look at it together. Therefore we have a special guest from Berlin: Thomas Heinrichs, Developer Advocate at Camunda.

In the first part of our Meetup he will show us what distinguishes Camunda 7 from the brand new Camunda Platform 8. Additionally, we will build a lightweight automation in SpringBoot so you can easily get started. We will take a peek at the different APIs which are provided by the platform, have a look at the overall platform architecture and start a discussion about it.

With the new major release from Camunda, many will ask themselves "Should I use the new version for all of my Camunda projects?". Camunda's statement is: Create new projects with Camunda 8, continue existing ones with Camunda 7 and prepare for a migration. In the second part of our Meetup, Stephan Pelikan, full-stack senior developer at Phactum, will analyze this recommendation and alternatives. In detail, he will present an approach he has been following for several years, why it is particularly helpful in the Camunda 8 migration and how it can easily be used in your own projects as well.
