Full Day of Birding East of the City
Details
Hello Birders and Bird Lovers!
I know it has been a while since our last birding outing, but I’m happy to say we are back!
As the members that know me, I love late fall and winter birding as it brings birds to southern Ontario that we don’t usually see in the warmer months.
There has been even some fairly rare birds that have been reported in the last few weeks and some of these birds will be our target birds!
These birds include Bohemian Waxwings, Harris’s Sparrow, Barrow’s Goldeneye to name a few. We will also have an excellent chance to encounter Barred Owls and possibly Snowy Owls.
We can also expect see several other species of birds during our travels.
You’ll also have a chance to feed Chickadee’s from your hand which is always a joy!
We are going to head out early on Saturday morning at 8 am meeting at Finch Subway Station and be back at approximately 4:00 pm.
The weather forecasts looks mostly sunny for the day. They are predicting snow, but not until the evening.
There will be some walking, but it will be fairly easy and not far distances.
Please dress appropriately for the weather.
I can’t wait to get back out there.
There will be a limit of 3 spots available, so don’t wait or you’ll miss out in this fun day out!
