Walk/Hike the Salt Plains - Wood Buffalo National Park

Details
A shimmering crystalline desert awaits visitors at the Salt Plains of Wood Buffalo National Park. You can read more about the Salt Plains here: The Salt Plains - Spectacular NWT
This will be a camping and overlanding adventure (you can also stay at hotels). You do not need any special prepping of your vehicle to head to the Salt Plains of Wood Buffalo National Park. However, you will need to bring your camping gear (if using campgrounds), snacks, and food (for breakie, lunch and super), as well as water. You will also need bear spray, sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, etc.
Full itinerary will be shared with participating explorers.
We will be hiking to the Salt Plains and have lunch at the Salt Plains Day Use picnic area. There are also other longer hikes in the area, if open (the 2023 fires may impact accessibility).
Hopefully, we will also see wood bison roaming.
On the way North, we will be stopping at various falls along the road (e.g. Alexandra Falls, Lady Evelyn Falls, etc.).
