Scenic Drive with walks, hikes and stops

Lets take a drive to the following locations for some easy hikes, beautiful scenery, lookouts, etc., that all family members can enjoy:

• Natural Bridge - Yoho National Park: Natural Bridge is only a minute walk from the parking lot (short scenic/walk)
• Emerald Lake Lodge: this will be a short stop to visit the area (short scenic/walk)
• Golden Skybridge: adventure awaits at Golden Skybridge for those who are willing to cross one or both suspension bridges. There is a cost associated with this activity, which you can purchase online or at the the service counter. (scenic/walk)
• Paint Pots: the Paint Pots trail is a 2.1-km out-and-back trail. The pathway passes through marshes, creeks, rivers and small lakes, to the area with coloured water and streams. The small ponds are iron-rich mineral springs and get their name from the history of people putting their hands in the coloured water and clay-like mud, which then makes them an orange colour that they could paint with. For those wishing to hike to the Marble Canyon from the Paint Pots, you can also do that. The hike from Paint Pots to Marble Canyon is a 7.2-km out-and-back trail.
• Marble Canyon: this is an easy 1.4-km out-and-back trail. This is a very popular area, so we'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

You have the choice to meet the host at the Yoho National Park Visitor Centre in Field, or you can meet them at the Cinnamon Spoon in Bragg Creek and join the convoy.

A park pass is required for this event.

Hiking Pace: slow, beginner level, with lots of stops for photos.
What to bring:

• water, snacks and lunch
• rain/wind jacket and layers; dress for the weather
• good hiking boots/shoes
• hiking poles
• bug spray
• bear spray
• sunscreen/sun glasses
• camera
• most importantly, you are bringing a smile

Waiver: anyone joining this event must sign the waiver form before the start of the event (either at the meeting location or at the trailhead). You must also provide an emergency contact name and number of someone who is not currently joining you in this event.
