This Meetup group is based in The Canary Islands and in particular Gran Canaria.
A Culturist. 1 : one engaged in a culture 2 : an advocate of culture or of a particular method of cultivating mind or body
The Canary Culturist is a Meetup set up for native Canarias, ex-pats, retirees and tourists of every age alike. I hope to organise events on a regular basis, that will be or interest to all members. We will enjoy meeting, having conversations in a mix of Spanish and English and making new friends. And of course I intend to do this in a setting that is also entertaining and inter active so that we will all have a common interest to start up conversations afterwards when we go for a coffee/tea or a drink. Sometimes I will put up dinners in restaurants, but not before I have tried them out myself first to make sure that service, quality of food and price is good.
Although as you all know you could go to a restaurant a few times and it’s excellent and the one time you bring friends to have an enjoyable meal too, it’s a fiasco. But fingers crossed. Most of all I want people to enjoy themselves and create happier lives & connections and that is my motivation. It is not a dating site, so I will not be doing any match making 😅However, if you do find love, then that is your own business and the very best of luck to you both.

This is not a business Meetup so I will not be advertising on behalf of other business's. When something costs money and tickets are required, the member must pay the event host of that event, the money will go directly to them. To avoid any complications I won't be an intermediary in handling money. Everyone is responsible for their own tickets. I will always endeavor to get us reserved seating, depending on circumstances and I'll always try to get the best seats in the house. I don’t anyone to confuse this, so it is specifically a Social Club and not a business. But if you are a business and want to offer the group something for free to choose your establishment then everyone in the group benefits from that, so feel free to run that by me.
