About us
The Canberra Creative Voice Lab is a hands-on, face-to-face community for local creators who want to get behind the mic, play with performance, and develop their voices in the real world.
Whether you want to try voice acting, love the idea of narrating an audiobook, are keen to connect with fellow content creators in real life, or you just want to unleash the power of your voice—this is your space.
What We Are About:
Real-World Practice: We get into the studio, jump on the mic, work through scripts, and try out techniques together in a safe, supportive environment.
Creative Experimentation: this is a place to test out vocal techniques, accents, and characters with supportive peers.
Community Connection: We are a network of local creatives helping local creatives. Come along to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and meet your fellow Canberra makers.
Who This Group Is For:
Aspiring audiobook narrators and voice actors (even if you have never tried it before!)
Podcasters, streamers, and video creators looking to improve their audio presence and meet likeminded locals.
Singers, performers, and improv players wanting to explore spoken-word media.
Anyone who wants to build confidence in public speaking through creative play.
Bring your voice, your curiosity, and your sense of play. Let’s create something awesome together!
