What we’re about

Welcome to the Canberra Nippers, a vibrant part of the Mollymook Nippers community! We gather at the Canberra Olympic Pool on most Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM, offering an exciting blend of activities to develop essential water safety skills while having a ton of fun.

Our Saturday sessions are divided into different segments:

Open Water Training: Dive into the inside pool for open water training.
Surfboard Training: Take to the outside pool to master surfboard techniques.
Sand Training and First Aid: Head to the field and sand area to hone your sand skills and learn essential first aid practices.
While we may not have the ocean right at our doorstep, our program provides a safe and enjoyable way for kids to grasp vital water safety concepts in a sporty, engaging manner. Additionally, every month (or more frequently if you wish), we invite you to join us at the coast on Sundays to participate in Nippers alongside the MollyMook kids.

Don't miss out on a summer of fun! Come and be a part of our group.

If you're new to our community, we often organize a post-Nippers picnic at 12 PM on Saturdays. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow members and get to know each other better.

Our group is entirely volunteer-run, fueled by individuals who are passionate about Nippers. Whether you enjoyed Nippers as a child or are new to the experience, we welcome your involvement. You can contribute as a volunteer swim coach, a parent leader helping guide the kids to their next activity, or simply by offering an extra pair of eyes to ensure the safety of our young participants.

Join us in shaping a positive and enriching Nippers experience for the kids, and relive the joy of this wonderful program!
