What we’re about
This Meetup group is for people interested in improving their health by putting one foot in front of the other and to be sociable whilst walking.
Walkers of all abilities are welcome in the group, but not every event (walk) will necessarily suit all walkers. If you are uncertain about your ability to complete a walk, contact the event host. See the Group Basics page for more details on how to do this.
If you are interested in hosting an event (walk) yourself, you can contact the Co-organiser, who can set up a calendar entry and help you complete the event listing.
Meetup provides extensive application help, community guidelines, organising tips, etc. Access this information through the ‘Help’ link at the bottom of each Meetup page. There is also a Canberra Walking Meetup Group Basics page at this link.
For practical day-to-day purposes, the group is administered by the Co-organiser, currently Doug Fitzgerald. Doug can be contacted by sending him a Meetup Message. All matters regarding the group should be raised with him in the first instance.
