"Therapist, Heal Thyself" How Therapy has been captured by the Woke.

Imagine a profession dedicated to healing, where open dialogue and honest inquiry are its lifeblood—yet that same profession finds itself silenced, shaped by ideological pressures that prioritize activism over care.

For our September meetup, we will be welcoming guest speaker Mary Garner. For over 30 years, she has worked as a therapist and feminist activist in private practice in South London GP surgeries, specialist trauma service at the Maudsley, and now in Liverpool, and is associated with the organisation, Thoughtful Therapists.

Our speaker is going to be discussing how and why activists in the field have taken over the professional organisations in the therapist community, have silenced debate, and put fear into therapists about practicing ordinary exploratory therapy, or even talking about it in professional forums, or with clients. She will also be discussing solutions to bringing back common sense, openess and truth to the profession, and especially to vulnerable patients.
