Instead of going to open mic at a bar, this open mic is held outside (or inside if the weather isn't ideal) potentially with a bon-fire.
We also do Summer outdoor house concerts and acoustic jams.
Drinking and smoking are not discouraged. :)

Thursday, May 1st hosting a Jam/Fundraiser for the Skylark in West Seattle.

Will have a backline of drums, amps, microphones, and a keyboard. I’ll also have a guitar and bass people can borrow or you can use your own.
Signup is at 6 and the jam starts at 7 and goes till probably around 10. You’ll be allocated into groups and get around 10-15 per group depending on the number of people. It’s possible you could play in multiple groups - also just depends on the number of people. If you came with somebody you want to be in a group with that can likely be arranged.
Cost to get in the jam is a suggested donation of $10, however I got them to definitively agree that this is only suggested, so if you are short on funds you can get in for free.
If you can make it or think you might, an RSVP on the Facebook event is appreciated to help build momentum. If this goes well, it is very possible it could become a more regular thing.

p.s. - Some basic jam guidelines:
**The volumes will be balanced ahead of time, so please leave the amp volumes as is (sound guy is present to make adjustments) and do your best to play at a volume that is well balanced with the others.
**Be sure to share whatever the chords are among the harmony players and perhaps the key to soloists. Simple is better.
**Most people like soloing, so be sure to share and limit solos to 16-32 bars.
**If there is a singer, they can coordinate who is soloing by pointing to them.
**If someone does really well, perhaps offer to buy them a beverage and lure them into your band :).
